TPE 's - or Thermoplastic Elastomers - are becoming more widely accepted as agood alternative for Rubber based derivatives. Material suppliers have put a
lot of work into deriving compounds with a wide variety of properties.

Typically TPE is chosen over standard rubbers when large batch production is required. Because of the short process times the piece prices are cheaper.
This has to be offset against the more expensive tool price.
